
Larry Isch to retire from First Bank of Berne

After 17 ½ years of service at First Bank of Berne, Larry Isch,
Vice President & Trust Officer, has announced that he will be
retiring from the bank effective June 30, 2010. Prior to coming to First
Bank of Berne, Larry worked at Woodcrest of Decatur from 1989 to 1992 as
Marketing and Development Director. He was Vice President & Trust
Officer at First State Bank from 1968 to 1989, a total of over 38 years
of banking experience.
Larry is a graduate of Decatur High School and holds certifications from International Business College, American Bankers Trust School, and Bankers Administration Institute. Having always been very active in the community, Mr. Isch currently serves with the following organizations: Treasurer Adams-Wells Crisis Shelter, President Decatur Parks and Recreation Board, Board member of Adams County Healthy Families, Member City of Decatur Comprehensive Committee, Decatur Chamber of Commerce Member, Committee member Vision 2020, Advisory member Adams County United Way Foundation, and President of Worthman Scholarship Committee.
Present employee of First Bank of Berne and resident of Berne, Ryan Schwartz has been training with Larry in the trust department and will assume Isch's responsibilities when he retires.
An open house will be held for Larry on Friday afternoon June 25 from 2pm to 5pm at the main office in Berne at 102 W. Main St. We wish Larry all the best in the future.
