Berne, Ind. – First Bank of Berne donated $1,000 to the South Adams Athletic Boosters. The South Adams Athletic Boosters is a group of dedicated parents who raise funds to support South Adams Athletes. They provide funding for twenty female and male athletic teams at the high school level as well as twelve female and male middle school teams. In the 2021-2022 school year, 50% of the South Adams High School Students participated in sports. All of these students were able to participate in sports because of the efforts of the SA Athletic Boosters.

The SA Athletic Boosters use their funding to purchase equipment and uniforms that cannot be covered by the athletic budget. In the past, they have provided Golf pull carts, Football helmets, Volleyball target trainer, Track hurdles, Athletic Trainor supplies, uniforms, and much more. They also offer one male and female senior a $750.00 college scholarship based on their academic achievement, sportsmanship, attitude, and athletic participation at South Adams High School. Donated contributions enable the SA Athletic Boosters to financially support over $22,000 for athletes in the 2021-2022 school year.
