The Peru Branch of First Bank of Berne recently donated $2000 to the North Miami Future Farmers of America Dairy Team. Accepting the donation were the students on the North Miami FFA Dairy Team: (l to r) Calvin Wilderman, Jordan Weaver, Alaina Weaver, and Audrey Piel. First Bank of Berne Peru Branch Manager Jennifer Ash presented the check. 

North Miami FFA Dairy Team was one of the top three teams at the National FFA Convention in October. They won the opportunity to compete in an international event at the Royal Highland Show and Edinburgh Scotland this summer. First Bank of Berne funds will help offset the cost for this event and allow North Miami FFA to continue positively influencing agriculture in Miami County. “This is the opportunity of a lifetime and we greatly appreciate having the right to represent Miami County and The United States at this international event,” said Alaina Weaver.
