Portland, Ind. – First Bank of Berne donated $500 to the Dunkirk Historical Society. Presenting the check is Tracy Carpenter, Portland Branch Manager and receiving the check is Larry Spade, Dunkirk Historical Society Board Member and Volunteer.

The Dunkirk Historical Society’s mission is to foster the appreciation of Dunkirk, Indiana’s unique history. They do this by collecting, preserving, and sharing artifacts, documents, and images pertaining to the unique culture and history of The Glass Capital of Indiana. The Dunkirk Historical Society cannot operate without the support of the community. They are always looking for historical items to be donated or loaned for display.
