Berne, IN - First Bank of Berne recently presented a donation of $1,500 to Dave Soldner, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Monroe Youth League. On hand for the presentation was Kent Liechty, President of First Bank of Berne, Dave Soldner and Allison Garwood, First Bank of Berne employee.
The Monroe Youth League, located in Monroe, Indiana, is a comprehensive league consisting of a large number of boys and girls on numerous different baseball / softball / tee ball teams. The league is a not-for-profit and 501(c)(3) organization which receives no funding from federal, state, or local governments, but is supported entirely by the local community. The Monroe Youth League is run by a handful of volunteers and managed by The Board of Directors.
All games take place at the beautiful Don Ray Memorial Park which was built on 15 acres donated by Don and Louise Ray. The park consists of 6 diamonds, batting cages, pavilion, and a concession stand with storage and restrooms.
Funds from the First Bank of Berne’s donation will be used for general maintenance and expenses.
