Portland, IN — First Bank of Berne is proud to announce its recent donation to the Jay County Fair, continuing its commitment to supporting local traditions and community events. Tracy Carpenter, Branch Manager of First Bank of Berne’s Portland office, presented the donation to members of the Jay County Fair Board.
The Jay County Fair, a cherished institution since 1872, is a nonprofit organization that proudly operates without government assistance. Each summer, the fair brings families and friends together for a week of unforgettable entertainment—including grandstand concerts, harness races, demolition derbies, and more.
This contribution from First Bank of Berne will help ensure that this year’s fair remains a spectacular celebration for all ages.
“We’re thrilled to support an event that means so much to our community,” said Tracy Carpenter. “The Jay County Fair is a beloved tradition, and we’re honored to play a role in helping it thrive.” For those who wish to support the Jay County Fair, donations can be made by contacting the Fair Board at (260) 726-9616 or emailing jaycountyfair@gmail.com.
First Bank of Berne remains committed to investing in the communities it serves—supporting events and organizations that bring people together and celebrate local heritage.
