Decatur, IN. — First Bank of Berne is proud to support Junior Achievement with a charitable donation to help further its mission of empowering young people with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate their futures and pursue economic opportunity.
Junior Achievement’s learning experiences focus on financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship, equipping students with transferable skills essential for success beyond high school. Through hands-on, experiential lessons, the organization helps students build critical and creative thinking, collaboration, communication, and technical literacy skills preparing them to confidently face “what’s next” in an ever-changing world.
This donation from First Bank of Berne will support Junior Achievement’s annual Purse Bingo fundraiser, which raises essential funds to continue providing educational programs to schools throughout Northern Indiana. These contributions ensure that more students can access meaningful, future-shaping learning opportunities.
Representing Junior Achievement at the check presentation was Sarah Schafer, Development Manager. Representing Adams Memorial Hospital were Susan Sefton, Director of Community Outreach, and Grace Hammond, Marketing. Representing First Bank of Berne was Jessica Zuercher, Decatur Branch Manager.
