First Bank of Berne Supports Secret Families Christmas Charity with Donation to Brighten Local Holidays

November 09, 2025

Portland, IN. First Bank of Berne is proud to support Secret Families Christmas Charity with a donation to help bring Christmas joy to families in need across the community.

Founded on the belief that every family deserves to experience the magic of Christmas, Secret Families Christmas Charity provides gifts, Christmas trees, and a holiday meal to families who might otherwise go without. What began as a small effort to support a few families has grown into a community-wide initiative that unites volunteers, donors, and businesses to make a meaningful impact each holiday season.

With the support of First Bank of Berne and other community partners, this year’s efforts will help ensure that even more families can enjoy a warm and memorable Christmas. Each donation supports the purchase of presents for children, the delivery of decorated Christmas trees, and the sharing of hope and kindness throughout the community.

Representing Secret Families Christmas Charity of Jay County at the check presentation were Don Hall, Board Member; Kadie Hall, Co-Founder; and Amanda Foreman, Board Member. Accepting on behalf of First Bank of Berne was Tracy Carpenter, Portland Branch Manager.

“First Bank of Berne is honored to partner with Secret Families Christmas Charity,” said Tracy Carpenter, First Bank of Berne Portland Branch Manager. “Their mission to serve families with dignity and love during the holiday season truly reflects the spirit of community that we value and strive to support.”
