Berne, IN. — First Bank of Berne is proud to support the Boy Scouts of America with a charitable donation to help further its mission of building today’s youth into tomorrow’s leaders throughout northeast Indiana.
The Boy Scouts of America focuses on shaping the next generation by instilling strong values, character, citizenship, personal fitness, and leadership skills in young people. Through Scouting programs, youth are encouraged to serve others, strengthen families, and develop a solid foundation for future success.
This donation from First Bank of Berne will help support the values of Scouting as outlined in the Scout Oath and Scout Law, guiding youth to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent. These principles help ensure participants grow into responsible, community-minded leaders who are prepared to make a positive impact.
Representing the Boy Scouts of America at the check presentation were Steve Higgins, Wabash Valley Senior District Executive. Representing First Bank of Berne were Kaitlyn Roby, Berne Branch Manager; Jessica Zuercher, Decatur Branch Manager; Tracy Carpenter, Portland Branch Manager; Gina Hon, Bluffton Branch Manager.
“We are honored to support the Boy Scouts of America and the important role they play in developing strong leaders and responsible citizens,” said Kaitlyn Roby, Berne Branch Manager. “Scouting provides young people with lifelong values and skills, and First Bank of Berne is proud to invest in a program that strengthens our communities and our future.”
