Berne, IN. — First Bank of Berne has made a charitable donation to Junior Achievement (JA) of South Adams by supporting its mission and the important work it does within the community. The bank’s continued support of local organizations reflects its belief in building strong relationships and investing where it matters most.
JA provides hands-on, age-appropriate programs that prepare students for future success by building essential life and career skills. Through classroom-based instruction and real-world learning experiences, JA empowers young people to better understand personal finance, explore career pathways, and develop an entrepreneurial mindset.
This donation from First Bank of Berne will help support the costs of JA classes within the South Adams School District, ensuring local students continue to have access to high-quality educational programming that prepares them for life beyond the classroom.
Representing Junior Achievement of South Adams at the check presentation was Sarah Schafer, JA Development Manager. Representing First Bank of Berne were Kaitlyn Roby, Berne Branch Manager and Collin Affolder, Berne Business Banker.
“We are proud to support Junior Achievement and the meaningful impact they have on students in our community,” said Kaitlyn Roby, Berne Branch Manager. “Teaching financial literacy and work readiness at a young age helps set students up for long-term success, and we’re honored to play a role in that mission.”
