Decatur, Ind. — First Bank of Berne is proud to support the Adams County Council on Aging with a donation to help bring to life a revitalized
memorial garden for senior citizens in the community.
The Adams County Council on Aging’s mission is to promote a healthy, independent, and high-quality lifestyle for all senior citizens
throughout Adams County. The council serves as a central point for connecting seniors with social services, government, and educational resources.
With the support of First Bank of Berne and other community partners, the memorial garden will undergo major improvements, transforming into a
vibrant space where seniors can gather, relax, and enjoy a variety of activities. Plans for the completed garden include a shuffleboard court, a
covered patio and gazebo, a water feature, and several wheelchair-accessible raised garden beds for planting flowers and vegetables.
“First Bank of Berne is committed to supporting projects that enhance the quality of life in our communities,” said Jessica Zuercher,
First Bank of Berne Branch Manager. “We are excited to see this garden become a welcoming and enriching space for seniors to enjoy for years
to come.”
In a recent check presentation, Michelle Lengerich, Executive Director of the Adams County Council on Aging, expressed gratitude for the donation
and the positive impact it will have on local seniors.
