Helping create great Christmas memories in the City of Peru

Peru, IN - Jennifer Ash and the First Bank of Berne staff recently made a $2,000 donation to Light Up Peru. The money will help Light Up Peru enhance the community during the holidays and create Christmas spirit and memories for Peru residents.

Led by Paul Forman, the Light Up Peru committee was formed in 2019 to address the desire to create great Christmas memories in the City of Peru. Light up Peru does several fundraisers throughout the year with one hundred percent of proceeds received going to making future Christmas displays as well as maintaining current ones. Each year, their amazing team of regulars and part time volunteers decorate the large pine trees at the Miami County Courthouse, along with a growing number of light displays. They also host a parade and a tree lighting each year to kick off the Christmas season.
