First Bank of Berne recently made a generous donation of $6,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Adams County for their 2018 campaign. These funds will benefit the clubs in both Berne and Decatur. Shown presenting the check is Penny Parrish, First Bank of Berne Decatur Branch Manager, and accepting on behalf of the Boys & Girls Club is Andrea Hough, Decatur Unit Director. 

Membership in the club is made up of 6 to 12 year olds with many being members for 2 or more years. Among the programs the club promotes include Healthy Lifestyles, Academic Success and Character & Citizenship. Providing Hope and Opportunity in Adams County since 1993, the Boys & Girls Club exists “To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”
