Bluffton, IN - First Bank of Berne is supporting the Bluffton Parks Department Health and Wellness program in 2020 with a donation of $2,000. Rock Steady Boxing Coaches Amy Johnson and Rich Schoenher, Erica Bennett First Bank of Berne Branch Manager, Laurie Baumgartner, Sports Coordinator for Bluffton Parks Department, and Rick Gentis, Agribusiness Banking Manager at First Bank of Berne.

As a Series Partner, $1,000 of the bank’s donation will help with all of the health and wellness events for 2020. Monies are used for timing, awards, safety, food, and scholarships. Rock Steady Boxing in Bluffton will receive $1,000 to help cover the cost of the new gym built and dedicated to Dick Troxel. The new gym at 710 South Mulberry Street in Bluffton was entirely paid for by donations and grants. This new gym is a boost to the Rock Steady Boxing program. People living with Parkinson’s disease can take classes each week to help improve their quality of life with fitness programs, including vigorous exercise, to help slow down the progression of Parkinson’s.
