Portland, IN – First Bank of Berne recently made a donation of $1,500 to Jay County’s Secret Families Christmas Charity. Their Purpose: “To bring the Jay County Community together as a whole. Working together gathering resources and volunteering our time, we can provide Christmas to families right here in our own county that otherwise may not be having a Christmas this year.” Volunteers get together on one day to shop, wrap, and deliver items purchased from donations raised. They serve the entire family providing a complete Christmas including clothes, toys, Christmas tree, household goods, and a family Bible. 

Secret Families Christmas Charity believes in “teaching and showing the next generation the importance of serving and giving back to their community."
