First Bank of Berne recently made a $500 donation to the Jay County Portland Rockets. Randy Miller, Manager of The Rockets accepted the donation from Tracy Carpenter, First Bank of Berne Portland Branch Manager.
The Portland Rockets are the oldest organized semi-pro baseball team in the Midwest. They were organized in 1959, providing 62 years of excitement and pride. The Rockets are well known for their quality wood bat play throughout Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
