Decatur, IN. — First Bank of Berne and ABC Real Estate/AB Cinema recently joined together to contribute $10,000 toward the Adams County Council on Aging’s new memorial garden. Each organization contributed $5,000, helping the Council on Aging move closer to its fundraising goal for the project.
The Adams County Council on Aging works to promote a healthy, independent and quality lifestyle for residents throughout Adams County. As part of its continued work in the community, the organization is preparing a new memorial garden that will provide a lasting addition to the Council on Aging and the people it serves. The combined contribution will help cover costs associated with bringing the new garden to life.
First Bank of Berne has deep roots in Adams County, and being part of this community means showing up for the people and organizations that make it a better place to call home. Joining ABC Real Estate/AB Cinema in helping fund the memorial garden is a meaningful way for the bank to give back and help create something that Adams County residents and families can enjoy for years to come.
Representing the Adams County Council on Aging at the check presentation was Michelle Lengerich, Executive Director and Leah Koob, Marketing and Communications Coordinator. Representing First Bank of Berne were AJ Dull, Business Banker and Jessica Zuercher, Decatur Branch Manager.
“The Council on Aging does so much for people throughout Adams County, so it was great to come together with another local business to help move this project forward,” said Jessica Zuercher, Decatur Branch Manager. “We’re excited to see the memorial garden come together and become a place that local families and residents can enjoy for years to come.”
