First Bank of Berne Donates to Dunkirk Glass Days

June 19, 2026

Portland, IN. — First Bank of Berne is proud to support Dunkirk Glass Days with a charitable donation to help further its mission of providing a fun, community-centered event for residents and visitors alike.

Dunkirk Glass Days brings the community together through a variety of activities, including local vendor booths, games for kids, a cornhole tournament, car show, food vendors, a golf cart parade, and live music throughout the day. The celebration culminates with a main stage performance by Cook & Belle, offering entertainment for all ages.

This donation from First Bank of Berne will help offset the costs of hosting the event and ensure that attendees can continue to enjoy free entertainment. By supporting these efforts, the bank is helping maintain a vibrant community tradition that encourages connection, family fun, and local engagement.

Representing Dunkirk Glass Days at the check presentation were Dru Hall, President; Rose Morgan, Treasurer; Afton Ridgway, Secretary; and Tom Brosher, Car Show Chairman. Representing First Bank of Berne were Isaac Gorrell, Business Banker, and Tracy Carpenter, Portland Branch Manager.

“We are proud to support Dunkirk Glass Days and the positive impact it has on bringing the community together,” said Tracy Carpenter, Portland Branch Manager. “Events like these create lasting memories for families and strengthen local connections, and we’re honored to help make that possible.”

Community members interested in supporting Dunkirk Glass Days may send a donation to PO BOX 116, Dunkirk, IN 47336. For questions, contact Baxter at (765) 717-9241 or Afton at (765) 499-5230.
