First Bank of Berne Donates to North Miami FFA Dairy Team’s International Competition

January 19, 2026

Peru, IN. — First Bank of Berne is proud to support the North Miami FFA Dairy Team with a charitable donation to assist the team as they prepare to compete on an international stage.

The North Miami FFA Dairy Team provides students with leadership training, personal growth opportunities, and career skills in agriculture. Through competitive events and hands-on learning, students develop teamwork, responsibility, and technical knowledge that prepares them for future success in agricultural careers.

After placing second at both the area and state FFA contests, the team qualified to represent Indiana at the National FFA Convention, where they competed in the Dairy Cattle Evaluation and Management competition. In October 2025, the team was named Reserve National Champions, earning the opportunity to compete in an international judging contest at the Royal Highland Show in Edinburgh, Scotland this summer.

This donation from First Bank of Berne will help offset travel and related expenses for the international competition, allowing these students to represent their school, community, and state on a global level.

Representing the North Miami FFA Dairy Team were Calie France, Riley King, Joannah Wildermuth, and Hanna Early. Representing First Bank of Berne were Brianne Timmons, Relationship Banker; Stacy Hall, Assistant Branch Manager; Jennifer Ash, Branch Manager; and Mary Rothermel, Teller.

“We are proud to support the North Miami FFA Dairy Team and their incredible accomplishments,” said Jennifer Ash, Branch Manager. “Their dedication and hard work reflect the strong values of leadership, commitment, and excellence that FFA instills. First Bank of Berne is honored to help support their journey as they represent Indiana internationally.”
