Berne, IN. — First Bank of Berne recently presented the South Adams Athletic Boosters with a donation to help fund projects for South Adams student-athletes during the upcoming school year.
The South Adams Athletic Boosters helps provide resources that give student-athletes a better experience throughout their time at South Adams. Through fundraising and involvement from parents, alumni and others in the area, the organization helps with equipment, uniforms, facility improvements and other athletic needs that may fall outside the school’s regular budget.
For First Bank of Berne, South Adams is more than a local school. Many of the bank’s employees grew up here, have children in the school system or spend their evenings and weekends at South Adams events. Contributing to the Athletic Boosters is a natural way for the bank to give back to a school and community that have been part of First Bank of Berne’s story for generations.
Representing the South Adams Athletic Boosters at the check presentation were Kalla Caffee and Susie Brown. Representing First Bank of Berne were AJ Dull, Business Banker, and Dan Claghorn, Consumer Banker.
“There’s a lot of pride in South Adams, and you see it in how people show up for our students,” said Kaitlyn Roby, Berne Branch Manager. “The Athletic Boosters put a lot of time and effort into giving student-athletes opportunities to make the most of their experience, and we’re happy to play a part in that.”
