First Bank of Berne Sponsors Adams County Host Gift for Association of Indiana Counties

May 04, 2026

Decatur, IN. — First Bank of Berne is proud to support county government and community leadership by sponsoring the Adams County host gift for the upcoming Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) Fall Conference.

Established in 1957, AIC works for the betterment of county government across the state. AIC represents Indiana counties at the General Assembly, conducts research, disseminates information, provides professional training and educational programs, facilitates communication through publications and seminars, and serves as a liaison between counties and state and federal agencies. AIC is the only organization dedicated solely to representing the legislative interests of Indiana’s county governments.

This sponsorship from First Bank of Berne helps Adams County proudly host fellow county officials from across Indiana at the annual AIC Fall Conference, supporting collaboration, education, and the continued strengthening of county government throughout the state.

Representing the Association of Indiana Counties and Adams County at the presentation were Tony Mellencamp, Adams County Auditor, and Tom Krueckeberg, Adams County Recorder. Representing First Bank of Berne were Collin Affolder, Senior Business Banker; Kaitlyn Roby, Berne Branch Manager; and Jessica Zuercher, Decatur Branch Manager.

“County officials play a vital role in serving our communities, and the Association of Indiana Counties provides invaluable resources and advocacy to support that work,” said Jessica Zuercher, Decatur Branch Manager. “We are proud to sponsor the Adams County host gift and to support the collaboration and education that takes place at the AIC Fall Conference.”

Community members interested in supporting Adams County’s involvement with the Association of Indiana Counties may contact the Adams County Treasurer at 260-724-5353 for more information.
