First Bank of Berne Sponsors Berne Christkindlmarkt

October 01, 2026

Berne, IN. — First Bank of Berne recently made a donation to the Berne Community Development Corporation (CDC) as a Sponsor for the upcoming Berne Christkindlmarkt, helping bring holiday cheer to local families and visitors.

Berne CDC works to strengthen the local economy, encourage community involvement and make downtown Berne a welcoming place for residents and visitors. Through events like Christkindlmarkt, the organization brings people together to celebrate the holiday season while creating opportunities for local businesses and volunteers to be involved.

Being involved in the community is an important part of who we are at First Bank of Berne. Sponsoring Christkindlmarkt gives the bank an opportunity to give back to local families and help make an event that so many people look forward to each year even more special. It's also a chance to be part of something that brings our neighbors together, supports our downtown and creates lasting memories for children and families throughout the holiday season.

Representing the Berne CDC at the check presentation were Loree Sprunger and Carley Rediger. Representing First Bank of Berne were Kaitlyn Roby, Berne Branch Manager, Taylor Lehman, Human Resource Manager and Collin Affolder, Senior Business Banker.

“Christkindlmarkt is one of those events that makes the holiday season special here in Berne,” said Kaitlyn Roby, Berne Branch Manager. “It's wonderful to see families enjoying time together downtown and our local businesses and volunteers coming together to make it happen. We're excited to help bring Santa to the event and see the smiles it brings to the kids.”
