First Bank of Berne Supports YWCA of Van Wert County’s Capital Campaign

March 04, 2026

Van Wert, OH. — First Bank of Berne is proud to support the YWCA of Van Wert County with a charitable donation to help further its mission of empowering women, supporting survivors, and strengthening families in the community.

The YWCA has long provided vital services in Van Wert, offering support to survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault, while also delivering youth development and prevention programs that create lasting impact.

This donation will support the YWCA’s capital campaign to construct a new facility. The expanded space will provide essential living accommodations for survivors and their families, permanent supportive housing for homeless women and children, and increased capacity for youth programming.

Representing the YWCA at the check presentation was Kimberly Laudick, President/CEO. Representing First Bank of Berne were Jenna Strayer, Business Banker; Morgan Collins, Teller; and Nicole Jones, Personal Banker.

“At First Bank of Berne, we are proud to support the YWCA’s capital raise campaign for their new facility,” said Jenna Strayer, Business Banker. “The work they do to provide safety, stability, and resources for women and families makes a lasting difference in our community. Investing in this new facility is an investment in stronger families and a stronger local future, and we’re honored to support them in making that vision possible.”

Community members interested in contributing to the YWCA’s capital campaign may contact Kimberly Laudick at klaudick@ywcavanwertcounty.org or (419)238-6639 Ext.102.
