First Bank of Berne recently completed their five year commitment of $5,000 to the Kokomo Family YMCA’s Beyond the Bricks Capital Campaign. Funds donated for this campaign will be used for the new facility and will allow the local YMCA to impact the lives of thousands of residents of Kokomo and Howard County with a focus on meeting the needs of people in the areas of youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. In a new Y, they will have the opportunity to connect at-risk teens with life-changing mentors, bring seniors together, offer families a place to grow closer and teach thousands of people how to be healthier. The new YMCA will be a key partner in sparking redevelopment and revitalization of Kokomo and Howard County.
