Portland, IN - First Bank of Berne recently made a generous donation of $2,500 to The Pennville Community Center. The Pennville Community Center is a nonprofit organization making all donations tax-deductible. The organization holds several Community Events for Pennville. Donation money will be used to completely remodel both community buildings in Pennville. The Portland Foundation has graciously offered The Pennville Community Center a matching $2 for $1 grant. For every $1 they raise, The Portland Foundation will donate $2 towards the renovations (up to $50,000).
