First Bank of Berne is pleased to announce that Kevin Gould, Vice President and Controller at their Operations Center in Berne has been named Chief Financial Officer.

A graduate of Norwell High School, Kevin also graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and received a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Saint Francis University in Fort Wayne. For 13 years he has served in various positions on the Board of Directors and committees, including past president, of SCAN, Inc. (Stop Child Abuse & Neglect) in Fort Wayne and is a current committee member.

After 35 years of employment in various accounting and management positions with manufacturing companies, Kevin took the position of Controller at First Bank of Berne in April 2013. One year later he was named an officer of the bank and the following year was promoted to Assistant Vice President. In January of this year Kevin received another promotion naming him Vice President.  "Kevin brings a unique extensive background of financial management and strategy to the First Bank of Berne which aligns with our corporate culture and values," stated Kent Liechty, First Bank of Berne President. “His role and success as our controller has positioned him well to assume the CFO opportunity going forward for the First Bank of Berne.”
